Activities on crew manning
Seamen and officers are selected and appointed under
the Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping for
Seafarers (STWC 95).
The following regulations and procedures are laid
down in selecting and appointing officers and crew.
(a) To be able to select internationally qualified
crew, all candidates are required to complete the training courses
offered by the Department of Marine Administration.
(b) If all the necessary certificates are presented,
their seaman books are checked to see whether they have the required sea
service and experiences on types of vessels they will be appointed, such
as; bulk carrier, log carrier, general cargo, chemical tanker, oil
tanker, car carrier, etc.
(c) Then the company poll is checked to select only
those who have met conditions such as; serving on the vessel until
completion of given contract time, obedience to the superior officers,
fulfillment of duties, cooperation and good relationship with fellow
crew, no record of fights and arguments, and following the rules of the
company.
Only those who meet the above conditions are selected
followed by a thorough medical check up by the company doctor. Those who
pass the medical check up are finally selected. Then their bio data are
sent to the international company for the approval and after that they are
sent on to the appointed vessels.
We accept and provide only the best.
